You're An Ineffective Leader If You're Rigid, Defensive, and Aggressive. And It's Choking Your Culture & Revenue.

Leadership is not about fear-based control, forcing your agenda, or demanding certain behaviors from your team.
It’s not about having the final word.
It’s not about making people afraid to challenge you.
And it certainly isn’t about defending every decision simply because you made it.

Teams that stop performing, showing-up ready to work, or they start distancing themselves... are often responding to the leaders who removed the 'humanness' out of the relationship.

Rigid leaders stop listening.
Defensive leaders stop learning.
Aggressive leaders stop developing people.
And eventually, their team stops bringing them the truth.

That is an expensive cost to the organization... In culture, productivity, revenue, and turnover rates.

When your people are afraid to disagree, ask questions, bring concerns, or tell you what isn't working, you don't have accountability—you have compliance. And compliance can look like a functioning team right up until something breaks.

A powerful leader can hold a strong standard AND remain open to feedback, constructive conversation, and understanding her team's voice.

She can say, “This is the 'Brand Standard',” without needing to control every conversation.

She can receive feedback without making it be personal attack.

She can change her mind without believing she's lost authority.

She can hold people accountable without diminishing or disempowering them.

That is leadership maturity.

Leader... Your team doesn't need or expect a perfect leader. (that's a confidence piece for you to work on if that's your internal belief.)

They need a leader who is SELF-AWARE enough to recognize when her own behavior is becoming the bottleneck to growth, the disruption to the culture, or even toxic to the overall organization.

Sometimes the next evolution of your business isn't about changing your team.
It's about evolving the way you lead them. I know that's a sensitive subject... But, just as you expect your Team to develop... You too, must ALWAYS BE DEVELOPING in all areas of your business.

That is the work and responsibility of a Leader of Impact. And Leader... If you are clear about how BIG your Mission is... You MUST LEAN IN TO YOUR DEVELOPMENT.

Fear-based leadership doesn't work. Micro-managing doesn't work. Thinking your team members never want to work hard or that they aren't always behaving the way you want is more often your financial fears getting in the way of how you lead - and it's costing you so much more than you can imagine.

The business's nervous system is a reflection of the leader's nervous system. In other words, if the leader is always operating in fight-or-flight; so will the business.

It's time to step outside of the EGO - and humbly work on You. Evolve yourself to create the desired evolution in your brand, the sustainable growth of your company, and the healthy culture you need in order to create a healthy environment for your team to thrive.

BEcome the Leader that listens.

BEcome the Leader that continually learns.

BEcome the Leader that empowers & develops her team.

BEcome the Leader that communicates openly, honestly, and heart-centered with her team.

YOUR EVOLUTION IN LEADERSHIP WILL SHOW-UP IN YOUR FINANCIALS.
